Freehold Halloween Spooktacular

WELLS FARGO PARKING LOT 72 W. Main Street, Freehold, NJ

The Halloween Spooktacular Haunted Hayride is another well-known Halloween tradition in Freehold Borough.

This unique Spooktacular event is fun for those who enjoy being scared as well as those who like to do the scaring!

It is also another great way to bring our community together.

The amount of dedication and planning that goes into each haunter and live scene is a testament to those who participate and shows the amount of pride we have for our community.

During this event, members of our local community along with people from our neighboring towns come together to either haunt along the hayride route or create and act out live spooky scenes on the street or in the front yards as the hay wagon passes by.

The haunters and spooky live scenes range from zombie cheerleaders to horror movie characters who chase down the hay wagon with chainsaws.

Come and enjoy a spooky and entertaining hayride through some of our neighborhood streets.

It will be a great time for all!

*While some scenes may be more scarier than others, it is still a fun Halloween event for the whole family.

Please use your own discretion when deciding if this event is appropriate for your family.

Thank You.

Are you at risk for diabetes?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 1 of every 3 US adults had prediabetes in 2010. That is 79 million Americans aged 20 years or older. The vast majority of people living with prediabetes do not know they have it. A person with prediabetes has a blood sugar level higher than normal but not high enough to diagnose diabetes.

Do you know your blood sugar numbers? Join us for free glucose and blood pressure testing at the Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center.

Screenings are offered every Monday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm except on holidays. The screening only takes about 15 minutes.

Veterans Suicide Prevention Webinar

Virtual (online)

Veterans Suicide Prevention Including the Use of Data and Analytics
Wednesday, October 19, 2022
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Suicide must no longer continue to be the silent epidemic, so we cannot remain quiet anymore! In 2020, according to the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), 45,979 people died by suicide in the United States.

What we all need to know about Suicide is that it remains a serious public health problem, which has lasting harmful effects on individuals, families, as well as communities. The risk of suicide does not discriminate, people of any age, race, ethnicity, or sex can experience suicide risk. However, we do know that certain groups have substantially higher rates of suicide than the general U.S. population (13.9 per 100,000).

These ‘at-risk’ groups which disproportionately experience factors linked to suicide include veterans, those who live in rural areas, sexual/gender minorities, middle-aged adults, as well as tribal populations.

Join Us on October 19th at 1pm PST/4pm EST for Opeeka’s webinar, Suicide Prevention Including the Use of Data and Analytics
