Monthly Bariatric Support Group Meetings

Convenient in-person meetings are held the third Thursday from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Anne Vogel Family Care and Wellness Center, Suite 1200 at 200 Wyckoff Rd, Eatontown, NJ 07724.

If you are considering surgery or are in the process of preparing or have undergone surgery, you are welcome to attend our FREE monthly virtual support group meetings. Family, friends and support persons are also invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to meet others going through the same weight loss journey. Our meetings focus on achieving optimal wellness through weight loss surgery. Each month, we will discuss a different topic on nutrition, exercise and healthy living behaviors.

A discussion on recognizing the effects of normal aging on the brain and how to implement some ways to improve your brain function with “brain exercises."

About the Presenter: Rachel Tansey is a Senior Extension Associate for the Family & Community Health Sciences Department under Rutgers Cooperative Extension in Monmouth County. Ms. Tansey earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in Holistic Health from Georgian Court University. Rachel works with local partners to educate residents on various topics centered around nutrition, wellness, and healthy well-being. Her primary concentration areas are in community health education, wellness & self-care, nutritious eating, and healthy lifestyles with an emphasis on wellness in the workplace.

In partnership with the Moorestown Library, this session will be conducted on Zoom and is free of charge. Registration and internet access are required to attend. Register below to receive emailed information on how to access the conversation.

Historic Portland Place Tours

Tour this beautifully restored 18th century house with exhibits that help tell the story of the region's history and the Hartshorne family legacy in Monmouth County.
