Success in Autism: Filling in the Gaps-Virtual Presentation by Joni and Larry Jones
7:00 PM
Success in Autism: Filling in the Gaps
Presented by Joni and Larry Jones

According to a recent study by CDC, one out of every 34 children in New Jersey is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Joni and Lawrence Jones—two parents and longtime advocates concerning children with special needs—will discuss relevant issues concerning how to potentially build a foundation for success. The conversation will include issues relating to diagnosis and intervention, breaking through plateaus, sibling issues, parental mental health issues, handling issues when parents or other family members do not agree on plan of action and care regarding the child, and other matters. The program includes an interactive question and answer segment.
Presenters are two of the original founders of POAC (Parents of Autistic Children) Lawrence R. Jones, former NJ Superior Court Judge and Joni Jones, RN. The co-presenters are longtime public educators in the field of autism. Larry has retired from public service as a New Jersey Family Court judge. He authored the court opinion in the case of Rooney v. Wall, which addresses many issues relevant to parents, attorneys, courts, and mediators concerning children with autism. Joni is a board-certified nurse, has presented extensively for over two decades on the subject of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This program will be presented on Zoom and is free of charge. Registration and internet access are required. Register below for links to be emailed to you. Registration closes on the business day prior to the program at noon; Zoom Access Links will be emailed later that day.
