Intuitive eating is a philosophy of eating that connects you back to your body’s hunger and fullness signals, and helps you foster an accepting relationship with your body. Intuitive eating is not weight loss focused, and some people describe it as the anti-diet diet.
Intuitive eating is a philosophy of eating that connects you back to your body’s hunger and fullness signals, and helps you foster an accepting relationship with your body. Intuitive eating is not weight loss focused, and some people describe it as the anti-diet diet. What we’ll do in this virtual workshop:
– Learn about the ten principles of intuitive eating
– Learn about research supporting intuitive eating
– Discuss the harms of dieting and why diets don’t work
– Begin to explore your relationship with dieting
You’ll learn what diet culture is and how it messes with your relationship with your body and with food. We will practice activities to help deepen learning and leave with a few ideas for next steps to be able to become an intuitive eater.
About Jess: I’m a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor in NJ. I came to my passion for intuitive eating after personal experience of getting burned out on multiple diets. This approach changed my life, and I can’t wait to help you learn more about it.
